After a brief hiatus, I’m back to tumblring ! In the marketing/advertising world, one of the most interesting trends I’ve noticed (and twittered) is cable networks advertising their shows during movie theater previews. Think about it, TV, which was supposed to “kill” movies, is marketing itself to moviegoers. This allowed me to learn about a great PBS show “Carrier”, shot on the USS Nimitz during a 6 month deployment in 2005. Produced by Mel Gibson’s Icon, it’s a great deep dive into the US Navy and its diverse makeup. Check it out ! This post is sent via my BBerry and will updated for links asap.
